This breathtaking 1878 7/8TF Morgan Dollar (Strong) has been graded
MS64 by NGC. Frosted, powerfully struck devices contrast beautifully
against velvet-smooth, brilliantly lustrous fields. This magnificent
Morgan Dollar beauty blazes with an all-around cartwheel shine that is
so popular among collectors! Back in 1878, several varities of the
Morgan Dollar were struck, and this particular specimen is one of the
rare "7/8 Tail Feathers Strong" examples. You will be hard-pressed to
find a finer MS64 example, as this is truly the nicest MS64 7/8 Tail
Feathers I've seen from this popular first year mintage! Currently,
Collectors Universe shows a value of $540 for the 1878 7/8TF Morgan
Dollar graded MS64, which already is a great bargain compared to the
MS65's price of $3,500:
