YOU WANT OR IF YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE WITH REGARDS TO
COIN COLLECTING PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS AUCTION. IF YOU ARE A
PROSPECTOR AND NOT A COLLECTOR PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS AUCTION. IF
YOU ARE A PERSON WHO CAN MAKE UP YOUR MIND REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS
SAY PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BID ON ANY OF OUR AUCTIONS
We have been given some pointers on grading by my former patient and a
very knowledgeable friend whose help we requested in order to verify
the authenticity of our 1889cc. We wanted to clarify a few things and
he gave us answers that make perfect sense. We learned that is not
considered when grading a coin; however, if the toning is attractive
enough it cancels out the detracting marks that would lower the coins
grade i.e. if a coin has a very interesting rainbow the hair lines are
usually ignored. However, this only applies to marks that are only
visible through magnification, if the marks are apparent they could
not be ignored. Then why do we see slab coins with marks on the device
being graded MS65 we did not get an answer to that question. He just
gave us a, you should know better smile. He proceeded to tell us that
every collectable coin has a value even the ones that have been
cleaned, scratched or even the ones that were altered; however, their
value is diminished. Then he proceeded to tell us about net grading.
We showed him our toned coins so he can show us how to grade them. We
also inquired if they were artificially toned. He inquired about the
history of our toned coins and after we informed him of the events
that led to the toning of these coins he told us that specific test
must be performed in order to determine if the coins are artificially
toned or not. We were surprise with the answer for this is a person
who does this for a leaving and the coins are right in front of him
surely he could tell if they were natural or artificial for we have
people who are so sure that the coins are artificially toned just by
looking at the pictures in the our listings. We were told that the
thickness of the film covering the coin is usually the bases of
whether the coin is accepted or rejected. If the film is too thick
that it prevents the grader from accurately grading then they must
send the coin back. After going through some of our coins we were
relieved to hear that only a few had a strong chance of being
rejected. After our lesson we reminded him that his company should
hire these highly skilled eBay members for they can determine if the
coin is artificially toned merely by looking at pictures in our
listings. He smiled and said that the bane of his profession, are
people who think they know everything when they know close to nothing.
To that we replied that true wisdom is the knowledge that you know
nothing. The visit was a good learning experience which resulted in
the listings that we are doing this Friday.
This Friday we will give our bidders an opportunity to bid on very
inexpensive low grade toned coins. This coin can be used for a lot of
things, it can fill up holes in your collection while you wait for
that perfect toned coin, it could be a unique gift to people to
beginners or those who does not have a clue about numismatics or you
can melt it down for the silver in it. In fact silver is proving to be
a very good investment. It is up by $.92 cents to $7.26 for the month
and it is up by $2.24 from last years $5.04 per oz price. Of course
the best performer in the investment market is still the rare coins
whose index is up by $91.95 from a month ago. Therefore any
collectable coins even the low grade ones in this auction is a good
investment. To make it simple fifty years from now these coins will be
fifty years older making coins these ones more desirable but gold,
platinum and so on will not get heavier.
This auction is for a Toned 1883 CC Morgan Dollar with wonderful
toning. This cooin will grade in the range of F to XF depending on
how the toning is regarded.
We shared this bit of information with you for the members of the Coin
Universe Forum requested it. Here is how they requested it.
Message from Coin Universe Forum Member:
Keep the stories coming. You are providing much hilarity for the Coin
Universe forum members
Reply by 2centsin
I am glad that you find it amusing. There is so much blight in this
world that any source of levity should be welcome as they say truth is
stranger than fiction and life is a joke. Therefore, we should be
thankful for the things that make us happy. I will make it a point to
add the history of any coin that has one in my listings that way you
will always have a source of humor and the coin universe will be a
happy one.
We believe that this fulfills our obligation to the members of the
Coin Universe Forum and we hope that they enjoy it like they did our
previous stories.
About our Warning
Several eBayer found our warning offensive as evidence by a question
in one of our listings.
̉̉WARNING!!!!!!!!! Your opening statement is negative, rude,
and "stinkin thinkin". Your sales will suffer with comments like this.
Can't beleive you actually dealt with the public for 50 years with an
attitude like this. Must be bitterness. Good luck-------̉̉
In defense of our warning we must say that it is not bitterness only
better sense. Therefore, we responded with this answer.
The warning is there to discourage specific bidders from bidding. If
the warning does not fit the bidder then they would not be offended by
it. The people who will be affected by this warning are those who feel
they are the bidders that we prefer not to bid in our auctions. Our
items are unique and they could only be appreciated by those who know
what they want. It may be true that we discriminate against those who
lack the faculty to appreciate the uniqueness in our items; however,
this is purely a business decision nothing personal. We believe that
the people we warn not to bid on our auctions will not be happy with
the items that we offer because they would require someone else to
make that decision for them.
Since we offer a no questions asked guarantee then it is only prudent
of us to make sure that the bidder who wins our auction is the one
that makes the decisions. It would be poor business judgment to allow
people who do not know what they want to outbid our preferred bidders
for if they win there is a high probability that the item will be
returned. We are not making uneducated assumptions when we make that
statement for it is common knowledge that people who flip-flop can
love the coin but when someone makes a disparaging remark about it
they tend to lose their affection for it. This will result in a coin
being returned due to remarks made by others. If you don̉̉t
see the wisdom in the way we handle our business then just think of it
this way. It is our business and that gives us the right to choose how
it is run. If you will take the responsibility for our profitability
then we will allow you to decide how the business should run.
We stand firm in our commitment to serve our preferred clients and we
shall remain prejudice to those who lack the faculty to make their own
decisions therefore should you be offended with this message we can
only say that if the shoe fits then wear it. Bidding will start at
2cents with no reserve

Our business policy is simple we pay our clients the outmost courtesy
as we can. We try our best to give our clients the goods and services
we expect to receive if we were the clients. Here are the things you
should not expect when you win our auctions: You should not expect us
to send you one invoice after another (you may receive one invoice
from eBay and if there is something we need you to know you will
receive one from us and you will have thirty days in which to pay for
the items you won and if you need more just let us know) There are
more things you should not expect from us and we will add those things
here when time permits.

About 2centsin
2centsin endeavors to offer unique items for collectors who appreciate
the esthetic relevance of these items. We believe that beauty is in
the eye of the beholder therefore what a person views as beautiful
should not be diminished by the opinion of others. 2centsin is
dedicated to providing its clients unique and hard to find items. In
order to meet that goal 2centsin must have clients who possess the
faculties to make their own decisions. 2centsin have found that
decisive individuals are the best and easiest clients to deal with due
to the fact that when they make a decision it is usually a final
decision. The strong will that is inherent to decision makers is often
required to climb up the corporate ladder and those at the top earned
the right to have the best. We believe that it takes less effort to
search for the best items and sell it to those who know what they want
than to sell readily available items to those who cannot decide what
they want. We believe that time well spent is time spent on endeavors
that allows one to enjoy the fruits of ones labor and wasted time is
time spent on those who will never be satisfied for they must have a
third party who makes that decision for them. That is the reason why
we have a warning on items that require a person to make their own
decision. Therefore, if you are the client we are looking for we are
please to welcome you to our auctions.
