Gorgeous large ceiling light globe/shade measures 14" in diameter. Depth
is just over 3". Color is a pink with clear high relief decoration.
Center has a 1`/2" inch opening to attach to ceiling fixture.
Decoration is relief molded. Inside clear circle is fish scale; the
colored area is a background of molded chintz like flowers; high
relief clear glass moldings are flowers and flowing leaves. Rim is
beaded. Really a wonderfully ornate combination. Condition is
excellent There are no cracks or major chips, Inside rim has very,
very minor roughage identified by touch only. This piece is
substantial. Weight is 5 lbs., 14 oz. Please check our other auctions
for a matching globe in butter cream as well as other ornate antique
glass shades. We will gladly combine auctions to save on shipping and
will work with buyer to arrange most cost effective shipping. Winning
bidder pays actual shipping. There are no handling fees unless
expressly stated in the listing. We will ship next day with receipt of
your money order/cashiers check. Personal/company checks must clear
bank. We also accept Master Card/Visa through PayPal with next
business day shipping although we do prefer m.o. or check. We ship

Vintage Antique Ceiling Light Fixture 1960 pillow style

Gorgeous frosted glass ceiling fixture from the 1960s- I'm selling the
shade and brass rim only- it will fit on most existing ceiling fixture
mounts with a standard threaded post.
Beautiful 3-footed brass rim (with ridges, and elaborage scrolls on
the brass "feet" - some minor tarnish which gives it a lovely vintage
look. Glass is the pillow-style round frosted shade, with a floral
motif and a starburst in the center. Threaded brass finial at the
center of the starburst that attaches it to the ceiling. Some tiny
chips in the glass around the finial and around the edge where the
glass joins the brass rim, but these can't be seen when finial is on
and rim is on) . One minor bubble in the glass - almost looks like
part of the pattern. The photo doesn't do it justice- the frosted
glass is very even and pretty looking- the photo just highlights my
poor dusting job!
Very mid-century pattern, and very high quality piece- from a house
that was remodeled in the 1960s by a woman who only bought the best of
everything (gold plated Kohler faucets, hand-flocked wallpaper from
France, etc.) We're modernizing the room and want to make sure it goes
to a good home where it will be appreciated.
