[IMAGE] 1926P Peace Dollar in an NTC MS-63 holder. A quick note before
we start. Due to popular demand, I have now begun providing pictures
of certain items for sale although the initial reasons for my NOT
doing this in the past has become apparent. Due to the limitations of
the camera, lighting and my own inexperience with digital imaging, 99%
of all my coins pictured look MUCH better in person as it is almost
impossible to get the luster on any coins AU-50 or better to show up.
Please refer to the following written description for a better idea of
what the coin ACTUALLY looks like. According to the Silver Dollar
Textbook by Wayne Miller, the typical 1926P dollar is well struck with
very good luster. That certainly describes this coin here! The strike
is sharp, the luster is excellent (MUCH more than is evident in the
pics!) and the toning is VERY attractive & subtle. Totally original
and undipped, this coin is VERY close to MS-64 and has that very
"clean" look on the face of Liberty. A few scattered marks in the
field are all that keep it out of that category. Silver dollars from
this year have always been a popular item and are regularly promoted
by the "big" dealers although I'm sure they are not as nice as this
specimen. It IS a nice UNDIPPED coin with lovely, light golden toning
and it should bring a good price. Definitely a QUALITY example!
Numismatic News Coin Market price guide lists the coin in MS-63 at
$70.00 recently increased from $45.00. Coin World Trends in MS-63 is
now also $70.00 just up from $60.00. These prices are surely well
outdated as the current wholesale price (Coin Dealer Newsletter-The
Greysheet) lists the coin in MS-63 at $58.00 bid/$63.00 ask (very
recently up from $44.00 bid/$50.00 ask.) Bidding starts at a fair
$62.99. A good price for a coin already certified! Buyer pays $5.75
for P&I. Money Orders receive next day shipping. Personal checks held
7 work days to clear. PAYMENTS ARE DUE 7 DAYS AFTER OUR E-MAIL
