This three dimensional pin has five tiers of leaf like petals with a
mate textured finish. There is an open work design to the “leavesâ€
with beaded edges. Each of the petals features a two-tier design with
good workmanship to this fine piece of jewelry. This pin measures 1
3/4 “ in diameter by a depth or thickness of 5/8 inch. It is a
substantial 30.2 grams when weighed on an OHAUS digital scale. The
back of the pin has the 18K marking as well as the Copyright symbol.
There are fourteen fine quality natural rubies to the pin, arranged
with nine gems in the outer perimeter and give gemstones in the inner
circumventing tier. These rubies measure 2.75 mm to 3.00 mm in
diameter with an estimated weight ranging from .09 carat to .12 carat.
The gems are of a pure red hue with Zone 80 tone. There is a secondary
purplish-red hue to the rubies. The approximate total weight of the
fourteen rubies is 1.47 carat.
In the center of the pin are three round brilliant full cut diamonds
that are arranged in a triangular pattern. Each of the gems is in
white gold prongs. They are of fine grade F color and are of VS1 to
VS2 clarity. The diamonds range in diameter from 2.60 mm or 2.68 mm
and weigh about .07 carat each with a total carat weight of .21 carat.
This pin appraised at $3925.00 and will come with the appraisal.
