Hometown Shipment Lead Times:
In most cases Hometown will ship your order in 14 to 21 days of order
placement. This time allows us to fully inspect and prepare your
product for shipment to your location. If the lead times to shipment
are expected to exceed this time Hometown will tell you at time of
order or as soon as possible after order placement.
Hometown Product Preperation and Shipment:
Hometown carefully and thoroughly inspects every item prior to the
shipment to your location. Each item is opened, photographed and
totally reviewed for quality. The product is then painstakingly
repacked and in many cases double packed before placing on special
pallets for the transit to your home.
Hometown When Your New Furniture Arrives:
We select a hand full of carriers that are capable of handling
furniture in their operations. Our shipping companies will contact you
when they arrive in your town to arrange a date or time for delivery.
On standard deliveries, you are responsible for making arrangements to
have the furniture placed in your location. Please be sure you have
arranged this assistance prior to delivery.
While we make every attempt to see that your furniture arrives like it
left our warehouse, from time to time and item may be damaged in
transit.
Your Responsibility:
1. Be sure to inspect each item when it arrives.
2. If the boxes appear damaged, torn or crushed be sure to open the
item at once.
3. Record on the shipping documents all damages, before the driver
leaves.
4. Call Hometown as soon as possible to notify us of the problem.
5. Do not refuse the delivery due to damage on an item. This will
only slow the replacement of the damaged items.
