Old Tall German Majolica Beer Mug
It is in good condition with general age wear. Measures about 12" in
height. The inscription on the left side reads,"Der Bleiht ein Narr
sein Leben Lang", and on the right side reads,"Wer nicht Teibt Wein
Weib und Gesany". There is a very tiny chip at the bottom of the rim.
Otherwise it is just a little bit dirty. If you have any questions,
please contact us before bidding. This item was found at Millennium in
Dallas, Texas. Visit our store at 3601 Parry Avenue Dallas. Store

Item Description
This is a HUGE piece of prohibition memorabilia. This HEAVY
goblet/glass/beer mug stands 10 1/2" tall and 5 3/4" diameter -- holds
a lot of marguerita, folks! Banded with dark red paint or enamel on
the rim and base; glass is thick and clear -- like new; glass has a
few air bubbles typical of the time. Fraught with scenes depicting the
drinking sentiments of the day, reflecting the ongoing debate. Main
"logo" is the GOP elephant and Democratic donkey with their paws in a
beer barrel reading "4% Beer" and the year 1932; slogan above reads,
"Eventually, why not?" Other scenes depict a boy peeing in a lake,
"Don't Drink Water;" man skipping with his cane upside down, "Over the
River;" donkey kicking a man drinking beer, "Oh, Boy! Some kick;" a
pitcher labeled White Mule; a guy walking and kicked in the butt,
""All over but the excuses;" tree with a dead limb and man (labeled
Prohibition) hanging by a rope from the tree, "Prohibition has been
hung forever." Also says, "Goodbye forever" and musical notes. OH,
forgot the camel, "How dry I am." Very humorous and historic
collectible sure to increase in value -- great investment and addition
to your Prohibition Era collection. FANTASTIC birthday or Christmas
gift for anyone in politics, history buff, prohibition/breweriana
collector, or YOU. Just in time for the upcoming Presidential
election. FABULOUS conversation piece for the bar, holder for your
