Last Price: $48.99 Ending Date and Time (GMT): 2004-11-01 03:45:00 Greetings! Welcome fellow-eBayers, and coin-collectors!!! Thank
you very much for stopping to examine this rare & beautiful
silver chunk of real and true AMERICANA. From a time when
money was REAL money. Sorry so late for you EST folks, but we had
to let the rest of the country in on this. Put in a really strong
bid, and go on to bed confident.
Presented as your Sunday Night Special for those shopping tonight and
offered here for your purchase / ownership is an attractive, and
genuine Tru-GradeÂ
Certified 1886-P U.S. Morgan DollarÂ
The professional coin-grading company has granted an MS64, or high
mint-state coin quality level to this particular auction example.  This
coin is now 118 years old.  Hmmm.  Antique? WAY. Unique &
scarce. Can't think of many other items that hold value, increase in
value, and last over the years like U.S. silver dollars.
Book value says ~$60.00. However, one should always remember the
"free" slabbing fee or certification which is incorporated in
the auction starting price for this rare coin. In fact, the market
for certified BU Morgan Dollars is strengthening very rapidly at this
time. It really is perfect timing for you to grab an
already-certified, Brilliant-Uncirculated, mint-state coin.
I'm sure that too much was originally paid for this item as an MS64,
but nevertheless; this "exact pictured coin" Certification ID#
016514 (you receive it) is hereby opinion-graded at no less than the
MS64 awarded by the grading company. There are two light scratches
on Liberty's face. All fields are quite clean as you can see by the
pictures. The pictures are taken out in natural light. No bulbs,
or sunlight for that matter.  My personal grading is
usually harsher than most companies, but I pretty much agree on this
one. I could probably be convinced that the obverse surface is MS63,
due to bag marks.  Honesty and full disclosure are always best in
the long run.Â
As stated before, the coin obverse fields are fairly clean.Â
Micro-abrasions only in the west field.  Liberty's face has a hard
blow consisting of a double-reeded scrape about 4mm in length, running
from below her eye to the corner of her mouth. This is the ONLY
distraction on this near-perfect coin.  Hope the picture will show
it clearly, but it may not.  Sometimes it appears the plastic
holder may be partly to blame for some reflections/marks seen.Â
The reverse surface is really super-nice.  No flaws at all.Â
Brilliant original mint-luster, cartwheel-shine, and
decent strike.  The grading company, as they are obligated to do,
did NOT wipe off or clean the coin in any way, prior to the
encapsulation.  Sorry I'm so critical, but I'd rather be that way
then less descriptive. Â
Can you imagine how many of these coins were instantly lost into
circulation in 1886, and then again, (due to larger mintage numbers),
millions were lost in the great silver "melt-downs" of the last 118
years.  There certainly aren't too many examples of this coin,
(even MS60+), out there anymore; especially given the fact that there
are literally millions of small collectors in this country alone, who
shop on eBay, too. It's amazing that there are any left for us.Â
Conclusion: Truly, few people are likely to possess such a
specimen, especially in this super condition. The
real McCoy.  Shoot, the television show Home Shopping Network is
selling these coins for about $150 each, plus $10 shipping and
handling.Â
This coin is a sparkling, genuine example of this truly historical
item, at a price REQUIRING your action right NOW. Â
Warning:Â Most auctions are lost due to not bidding - then forgetting
to return; not due to underbidding.  Please place a strong,
lasting bid at this time. One bid could do it!  Â
Everyone loves Morgan Silver Dollars, especially "pretty" ones like
this. Never out of style and permanent. What a great investment! Over
.7736 ounces of pure silver in each coin, and inherent numismatic
value. Two ways to win.  No way to lose. Silver is rising!!!
It seems that the market for nice Morgan & Peace dollars is becoming
increasingly strong. You have chosen a perfect time to grab a few
HUNDRED THOUSAND of these coins. Thank you for bidding on this one
now. The 1886-P is somewhat hard to find in this condition & this
one is already slabbed (Certified)Â for you, usually about $15 minimum
charge for that service.Â
Please check your My eBay section often to see how the auction is
going!  Please contact the seller at the end of the auction.Â
Congratulations to the winner! Please "View Sellers Other Items"
after bidding. Thank you.Â
