Up for auction is a nice vintage RCA Victor Tube Radio. Radio is in nice
condition but does not work, might need a tube replaced. Nice piece
for a collector or as an ornament. Happy

1940's RCA Victor Tube Radio (Bakelite)

This 1940's tube radio was found in Big MamMaws attic. She said," Grandad
bought it for graduation." It is 12 1/2" long , 9 3/4" talL and 7 1/2
" wide at the base. The base is 1" larger than the top. The radio its
self has a dark brown bakelite (tested positive) case, with a gold
circle in the middle. The dials are on either side and move freely.
The chanel guide also moves freely.
The speaker is behind the golden circle. It looks like the speaker
filter has come loose on one side. The case is in real good shape.
How ever, I don't know if the radio works . Big Mam Maw said," guess
over the years the cord got miss placed."
On the back of the case is a lable that reads, THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT
THIS INSTRUMENT WHICH PRODUCES THE TONE OF THE GOLDEN THROAT. It is
signed DDCole Chief Engineer HOME INSTRUMENT DEPARTMENT RCA VICTOR.
these numbers are on the inside RC1079B, B274, 016. Also on the bottom
of the radio there is another lable that has been partially removed
with a lot of information still readable.
THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR VINTAGE DECOR, AND IT MAY
WORK.
