This is a beautiful example of Black Americana or African American
Dolls. They were purchased from an African American Art Collectors
items. Many of her items were vintage from Africa, however, I believe
these to be all American made.
They are obviously vintage. Two are probably from the 1940's or
earlier and the doll in the green dress with gold hoop earrings is
from the 1960's.
They are in excellent condition. The largest doll in the green dress
is 15 inches tall; the precious mammy doll in the red dress with apron
and cap is also 15 inches tall, and the smallest doll is 12 inches
tall.
The small doll is especially interesting as her face is made of some
sort of plastic, but obviously vintage of some sort.
They are all in wonderful condition without rips or tears of any kind
and they're cuddly and precious.

This is a beautiful posed studio photo of a young African American girl,
I'd say about ten years old. She's wearing a loose feedsack shift and
carrying a small basket with either flowers or ? She has a sweet face
and curly hair. The photo is 6 1/4 inches wide and 10 1/4 inches long.
It is signed in pencil by the photographer. It looks like "CH.Y." The
photo is in excellent condition, however there is some staining on the
back which doesn't come through. I would guess the age to be from 1900
to 1930.
