This recent estate find being Sold As Is, As Found is a Vintage Philco
model 48-482 Shortwave - FM - AM Wood Radio. It measures 20 1/8" long
x 12 1/8" high x 12 3/8" deep. It has a Bass ; Voume ; Dial Tunning &
Treble controls. The dial plate is marked Shortwave - Frequency
Moduation (FM) and Standard (AM. All the buttons seem to work I am not
a radio repairman or collector but when plugged in it turns on and the
dial lights up. The radio has No sound a and hums. The case shows some
wear. The bottom edge black paint is worn and there are some minor
scratches and wear to the finish, and the plug has been replaced. With
a Little TLC it is sure to make a welcomed addition to any collection.

Vintage General electric AM-FM tube radio, Model 409.
I don't know anything about old radios so I have no idea what year
this might be. It's been in the family forever, maybe since new.
The color is brown, is made of plastic with a metal band around the
face. The clear plastic is in nice shape,not yellowed or broken, there
are no chips or breaks in the plastic at all, and it actually shines
pretty good, could probably use a cleaning but I didn't know what to
use. The metal band might have been plated or painted a gold tone, now
it's mostly worn off. I plugged it in after being in dry storage for
20+ years and it turned right on, FM plays nice and clear, AM was not
as good,(of course). The label on the back is mostly there showing the
tube numbers, the corners are torn off, and maybe one or two tube
numbers are missing. I can't find a date anywhere, if anyone knows
where to look let me know and I'll try.
Buyer pays $14.00 shipping plus $3.00 insurance
Insurance is required because of the delicate nature of this item,
I'll open it and put some bubble wrap inside if buyer would like, but
can't guarantee tubes will arrive intact.
