VINTAGE NATIVE AMERICAN BELL TURQUOISE STERLING SILVER RING SZ 4-1/2
Here is a lovely vintage Bell Sterling Silver genuine turquoise ring
with a beautiful long oval turquoise stone and great silverwork. The
face of the ring measures a bit over 3/4 inch long and a bit under 3/8
inch wide. It is hallmarked inside with an image of a bell hanging
from a post and STERLING. It is in perfect condition although it could
use a good polish and will make a wonderful addition to your vintage
Native American jewelry collection!
The Bell Trading Post was founded in 1935 by Jack Michelson in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was named "Bell" because Jack's wife
Mildred's maiden name was Bell. The name was changed to Sunbell Corp.
in 1972. It's purpose was to sell Indian Jewelry to tourist locations
throughout the western US in competition with Maisel’s Indian
Trading Post. They produced Native American jewelry and had Native
Americans Artists working with them. The majority of jewelry was made
from sterling silver, turquoise and copper. The Bell Trading Post went
out of business in the late 1980's. The hallmarks are an image of a
bell and a bell hanging from a post.

First, please don’t let the low feedback scare you. See
mydressuptrunk to see the company my wife and I started and have
received 1000’s of positive feedback on. For bookkeeping and other
considerations we thought it wise to create a new ebay name to sell my
jewelry offerings. This bracelet was given to me by my Grandpa Barney
who lived in Richfield Utah until his death at the ripe old age of 84.
I have had it for about 20 years stashed away in a drawer, and I am
not sure of how old the piece is. It is handcrafted in silver, but
there are no marks or signatures. The Bracelet is relatively small in
diameter, but should comfortably fit the average size woman’s wrist,
My Grandpa had many Indian friends, I believe most of which were
Navajo. I am not sure which tribe this is from, maybe someone out
there will recognize the style. I am not an expert in this type of
jewelry, so please e-mail with any questions.
Note added 10/26/2004: The inside diameter of the bracelet is almost
exactly 6 inches, and the gap opening at the bottom is 1&3/8 inches
across.

This is a beautiful vintage Native American sterling silver and turquoise
ladies bracelet. This was probably made in the 1950s or early 60s and
is in very good condtion with no cracks, breaks, repairs or missing
stones. It has 26 dark green/blue turquoise stones. Each stone is
individually set. It is stamped STERLING on the inside of the
bracelet. It has a very nice patina but could be polished if you
prefer. This bracelet measures 5.25"around the inside with a 1.25"
opening and is somewhat flexible. It is about 5/8" wide at the widest
point. Very nice vintage Native American sterling silver and turquoise
