this is a great old cookie jar
in the shape of an old butter churn
11 inches tall (includes lid), 7 1/2 inches tall at the base
shows a little wear to the paint on the flowers
on the inside there is a small crack ( about 1/4 inch long ) under
the glaze, this was done at the factory before it was fired or glazed.
does not show on the outside. does not weaken the jar

You are bidding on a Vintage Gem Dandy Electric Butter Churn. It
runs great. Glass is in good shape. No chips or cracks, only some
scratches. Has two raised cows on the glass with "FOR USE WITH GEM
DANDY ELECTRIC CHURN"Â "MADEÂ BY ALABAMA MANUFACTURING CO."Â in
raised lettering.  Duraglas marked on the bottom. Electric motor
is 105-115 volt 50-60 cyc. ~1 AMP Type M26B and looks to be in very
good shape. Handle on the motor has a crack in it, which someone
tried to repair with a band-aid a long time ago (it is very
brittle). I started to remove it then decided to leave it on
there. Paint on the motor is in good shape--only minor wear and
scratches, which should be expected. Wire bail handle and metal cap
are a little rusty but not too bad. They are still pretty sturdy.Â
I have no idea how old this is, but it looks pretty old to me, and as
I said--it still runs! Electric cord is in good shape too--no
cracks, breaks or exposed areas. Overall, I think this piece is in
great shape for its age and is one of the nicer 3 gallon churns that I
have seen around or on E-bay. Aside from the crack in the handle, no
major problems, only some normal wear.

Vintage Antique Green Crock Butter Churn

This vintage crock butter churn stands approx. 14" in height, and with
the churn wooden paddle it's approx. 27" tall. The middle of the churn
measures approx. 28" in circumference. It's antique green. The
'true' color is a mix between the gallery photo(looks very deep
green) and the addtional photo listed(looks almost gray). The only
flaw is the side handle is broken (see the photos). It's in great
condition considering its age!
I'm guessing that this crock is approx 50-60 years old. The lady I
bought it from was near sixty, and it was her mothers.
The best shipping method for this item will probably be UPS since it
weighs 10-12 lbs and will have to have a larger box.
Buyer to pay actual shipping cost, with optional insurance. Accepted
methods of payment are money orders or personal checks (10-day hold to
clear). Sorry, but I do NOT accept Paypal.
