Vintage Revolving Musical Birthday Cake Plate Stand Box

ESTATE SALE ITEM
Up for auction is a vintage metal revolving musical cake stand. The
plate part measures 10 1/4" diameter and 2 1/2" tall. The plate
portion winds us and plays "Happy Birthday". There is an on / off
switch on the side of the stand. There is a small amount of wear,
with a small dent on the side and some scratches. This was purchased
at an estate sale so I am unsure of the age, probably from the 50's to
60's. The original box is included, which does show some wear. The
assembly insturctions are on the back of the box. It plate simply
screws into the base.

THIS IS A VINTAGE FOOTED (3 SMALL GLASS FEET) DOME COVERED CAKE PLATE.
THE DOME SAYS CAKE ON THE FRONT AND THE BACK. THERE ARE A FEW DINGS IN
THE COVER AS TO BE EXPECTED FROM USE. THERE ARE NO CHIPS CRACKS OR
CRAZING IN THE PLATE. THE PLATE MEASURES 12" IN DIAMETER. THE INSIDE
OF THE DOME MEASURES 11" AND FITS INSIDE A RECESSED CIRCLE IN THE CAKE
PLATE. I BELIEVE THE HANDLE TO BE DARK BROWN PLASTIC OR PERHAPS
BAKELITE. THIS WOULD BE GREAT TO DISPLAY OR PERHAPS TO HIDE, THAT
QUESTIONABLE HOLIDAY FRUITCAKE.
