Here are pictures of
a great vintage ceiling fixture. Circa 1930's or 40's I think. This
type of shade is the kind that would go over a bolt that came down. It
is clear glass, the inside has a frosted or etched surface with raised
patterns. The bottom side, that you would see once it was in place is
shiny and smooth. Measures 13 1/4 inches high and about 2 1/2 inches
high. This would look super in a victorian, colonial or country style
home. Very pretty, simple elegance and in perfect condition. Be sure

around the top for chains that support the glass. Frosted white glass
with an intricate moulded design. No chips or cracks and in very good
condition.

Details
This auction is for THREE [3] Vintage, matching, glass shades. Frosted
glass, stepped corners with a tapered shape. I mis-stated the size
opening earlier [many thanks to C for pointing this out to me in her
question!] The inner opening measures just a hair shy of 1-3/4" across
and the outer opening measurement [including the glass] measures
2-1/8" across.
Very Good condition with appropriate edge roughness/small edge flakes
but no significant chips or cracks. Suitable for single hall ceiling
lights, chandeliers, and sconces in period homes from Victorian to Art
Nouveau to Art Deco and others.
Each measures 5" tall and 4-5/8" square at the bottom.
Guaranteed old and as described.

On Oct-29-04 at 12:54:24 PDT, seller added the following information:
Oh boy! I was wondering why I had gotten the measurement of the
opening wrong, when it suddenly occured to me that these shades may
not all be exactly the same. Indeed there are two that are identical
and one oddball - the odd one has very subtle differences. The
exterior [including glass] opening measurement is 2-1/8 on all three,
but the odd one has an interior opening of a hair shy of 1-3/4, while
the other two have interior opening measurements of 1-1/2". Also, the
odd one is 4-3/4" tall while the other two are 5" tall. I'm
contemplating closing the auction and relisting, but since this
already has a bid, and I've not heard from the bidder yet, I guess
I'll let it be for now. I hope everyone who is intending to bid will
read this correction before bidding. =:-O
