30s?40s? Vintage Glass Refrigerator Box Lids Depression

This wonderful set of three glass refrigerator box lids came from my
grandmother’s collection of glass. She was born in 1897 so these are
probably from the 1930s, 40s, or 50s, whenever glass refrigerator
boxes were used. The set includes an 8 3/8†x 4 ¼†lid, a 5†x
4 ½†lid, and a 4 ¼†x 4 ¼†lid. The boxes are not included,
just the lids.
The larger lid has corn, tomatoes with celery and carrots, and
asparagus in its etched glass. The medium lid has what looks like
grapes and peaches in its etchings. And the smaller lid has a tomato
with carrots and celery and matches the middle image on the largest
lid.
These came from a trunk of my grandmother’s things that hadn’t
been opened in twenty years and their style looks like a much older
style. She collected her china and glass in the 1910s, 20s, and 30s
and these were mixed in with the old china and glass.
These are a great find for someone who has been looking for
replacements lids for their boxes. I can’t feel or see any
imperfections except for one tiny chip on the underside rim of the
medium size lid. The underside of this lid can probably be smoothed
easily by a light sanding. The pictures were taken on a scanner, my
only digital device, and the one of the two lids looks a little
distorted. The light from the scanner is reflected and sort of
distorts the picture. The lids look fine; I just can't get a perfect
picture of them on a scanner.
This is a nice collection of authentic vintage glass, from a
pre-Tupperware time when refrigerator items were stored in glass to
keep them fresh. These will make a nice addition to a Depression or
vintage glass collection as well as they are some sturdy display items
to bring back memories of the good old days.
What a wonderful vintage gift for the glass collector in your life.

SMALL CHIP ON THE RIM OF BOTTOM, AT THE TOP, BUT IS COVERED WITH LID,
THAT IS HIDDEN, OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A NICE OLDER, I WOULD SAY A RARE
PIECE?/ WHEN HELD UP TO LIGHT IT HAS A LIME GREEN COLOR, YOU WILL SEE
LOOKING THRU THE DARK.
