GERMAN SALT BOX TYROLEAN FIGURES -- HAND PAINTED CERAMIC
Wonderful vintage German Salt box. Pottery/ceramic with hindged,
wooden lid. This is a good size salt box and has a graceful curved
shape. Beautifully hand painted dancing Tyrolean figures with
traditional folk art decoration. Colors are vivid in red, blue,
yellow, green, brown on ivory/tan background; the word SALT is in blue
letters on the area above this lid. This piece can sit on a counter or
shelf or hang on the wall and is approximately 6 ½" high x 6" wide.
Very good condition, wooden lid is in good shape has a little tiny
split on one side (this does not detract from look or function);
pottery has crackle lines on inside, no chips or cracks making this
salt box is fine for use or display. Back is marked Made in Germany,
Tyrolean Peasant Ware. Whether you are starting a collection of folk
art kitchenware, adding to your existing collection or buying a gift
for an enthusiast; this is a great piece. Fits in with variety decors
including Old World, English, and Colonial, Country, Lodge, Mission,
Arts and Crafts and many others. Adds charm to any environment.

BIDDING IS FOR THIS VERY NICE WOODEN VINTAGE KNIFE HOLDER, OR KNIFE
RACK. IT MEASURES 9-1/4" x 5" x 1-5/8" AND IS HAND PAINTED WITH A
WONDERFUL POTTED IVY. THERE ARE SLOTS FOR HOLDING FIVE KNIFES.
THIS KNIFE HOLDER IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. ONE OF THE MOUNTING
HOLES ON THE BACK HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND THERE IS A CHIP ON ONE SIDE OF
THIS SLOT. THERE IS ALSO A BIT OF WEAR AROUND THE EDGES AND IN THE
KNIFE SLOTS, BUT I DIDN'T FIND ANY OTHER CHIPS OR CRACKS AND THE
COLORS AND FINISH ARE BRIGHT AND CLEAN.
