Reversible Silk Obi!
Sparrows and Swirls on One Side;
Asian Fans and Flowers on the Other Side!
This is a vintage Japanese Obi to go with your Japanese kimono! A
fabulous accessory to wear or display, this one features little
sparrows perched on swirling stylized branches with leaves on one
side; the other side is a flower-and-zigzag-textured silk with a
pattern of asian fans shapes filled with baskets of flowers.
Wonderful! This obi is in very good condition: there are no holes or
water stains that I can find-- however you'll see an area about 5" in
diameter on the sparrow side that shows a some little spots from
mildew. (no smell, just discolored). But when tied and worn it is not
noticable at all. This one is a fukuro style, so it's 12" wide all the
way down. Fabulous!!

Unlike other kimono sellers, I'm in the US so your shipping will be
much cheaper. I will ship to pretty much anywhere that the US Postal
Service will. I use Priority Mail so it will get to you nice and fast.
(usually 3-5 days). Buyer pays shipping, as is customary. Paypal is
the preferred method of payment, or personal check/money order sent
via snail mail. (I will ship as soon as check clears.) You can use the
shipping calculator below to find out exactly how much shipping will
be.
I am an honest, straightforward and friendly seller and your
satisfaction is very important to me! Check my feedback-- you can bid

If you win, payment must be received within 7 days of auction close.
Unless buyer contacts me to make arragements, nonpaying buyers will be

This is a high-end maru obi from pre WWII. It has tasteful and small
pine tree and crane motif, which is woven elaborately. Its pattern is
especially gorgeous and sophisticated. Textile is exquisite silk, and
has very soft touch. It has very slight folding line, but as a whole
it can be said nearly in excellent condition.
We highly recommend this gorgeous vintage maru obi.
