A Gathering Place
I get emails all the time from potential buyers asking me what I like
more~ sewing or painting? Well, I don't know, really. I just love
them both and that is why you constantly see me switching back and
forth between the two. Please keep in mind though that as colder days
roll in that you'll be seeing less of the later. I've tried to base
paint a lot of things so I'll have them to offer up to you as winter
approaches. But, I always seem to be too excited and go ahead and
'list them' when the artwork is done! :)

I love, love, love this style of vintage Tole Lamp! I've painted so
many lamps over the years I couldn't even begin to count them. I try
and stay away from the really, really old ones because they are so
rare! But, if they are in extremely poor condition or they are
painted a horrible color (lots of them are!) then they are chosen for
a makeover!

This sweet little lamp was once an unsightly shade of brown. I've
dated it to approximately the 1960's - 1970's because of it's original
color. Now that it's been painted a fresh, crisp white, it will
surely please the lover of both vintage lighting and Shabby Cottage
Chic decor. A tone on tone colorant has been added for additional
interest and just a bit more charm!

Hand painted cabbage roses grace the entire lamp! Big, fluffy pink
blooms complement the shade, both front and back! Tiny pink rosebuds
are the perfect accent while delicate green leaves and dainty tendrils
have been scattered about! You'll find even more of these charming
flowers on the center body and base of the lamp! Simply delightful
and so inviting, too!

The lamp has the old world style, turn-key on/off switch and the
original glass chimney. It can accommodate up to a 75 watt bulb
because it doesn't use a candle cover (plastic sleeve). The lamp
measures approximately 18" tall to top of chimney. The shade measures
approximately 8 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 5" tall.

The lamp has been completely rewired with both a new socket, cord and
plug-in. It has been clear coated with a matte sealer for added
protection and wear. Never submerge any part of the lamp, including
the shade. A gently wiping of a soft cloth is all that is needed to
help keep it clean! :)

This Lamp Lantern Candle Holder has a metal base with a glass decorative
purple flowers design. The Globe is a transparent glass. The top of
the center of the base holds a 1"- 3/4" diameter candle. The base is
4" wide and 7.5" tall. This is vintage but there is not traces of it
being used before, besides for decorative use. Additional pictures

Small Vintage Porcelain Oil Lamp Base w/Pink Roses
Another Listing from Magic on eBay!
I do some work in association with a local church's thrift store (The
Second Mile Shop in Berea, Ohio) and that is where this item comes
from. Please be sure to check out my other auctions for more wonderful
items.
This auction offers a very pretty vintage porcelain oil lamp base. It
has pink rose buds with pale green leaves applied to the front and
gold trim all around and on the handle. It needs a wick and a glass
globe. It is unmarked as to maker or place of origin. It measures 3
7/8" diameter x 3 3/4" tall and is in excellent condition. There are
no chips or cracks but there is some overall light crazing from age.
It's a beautiful piece and will make a wonderful addition to your
collection.
Winning bidder pays actual shipping costs to be determined at the end
of the auction plus a minimal handling fee of $1.00 per box to help
cover costs of packing peanuts, bubble wrap, boxes, etc. This handling
fee INCLUDES FREE DELIVERY CONFIRMATION ON EVERY PACKAGE (except
International). If you are the winning bidder of more than one of my
auctions, I will be happy to combine items for shipping when possible.
I use USPS Priority Mail in most cases. Books or small items which can
be mailed in bubble envelopes will mail via Media Mail (book rate) or
1st Class Mail.
PAYMENT: Payments must be received within 10 days from the date of my
official invoice to you. I prefer Money Order or Cashier's Check, but
will also accept PayPal or Western Union Auction Payments (formerly
called BidPay). Personal checks are also accepted with a 10-12
business day hold for check to clear my bank. International buyers
must pay with PayPal, Western Union Auction Payments (formerly
BidPay), or International Money Order in US funds ONLY - no personal
checks.
INSURANCE is additional and optional and is determined at the end of
the auction. I am not responsible for damage or loss to packages not
insured. I pack items carefully and thoroughly to try to prevent
damage during shipment and I address my packages properly and clearly.
However, I strongly recommend purchasing insurance on your package.
REFUNDS: If it is determined that I have misrepresented an item I will
refund your purchase price. Refunds are not issued on pacakages
damaged during shipping or on lost packages. Items must be returned to
me in reasonable condition before a refund will be issued. Shipping
costs are NOT refundable.
ITEM CONDITION: Most of the items I sell are vintage or used and
either come into the church thrift shop as donations or have been
purchased at estate sales and auctions. All items are sold AS IS. I am
not an expert and try to describe each item to the best of my ability.
If an item is new, that will be indicated in the description. All
sales are final, so please email me with any questions before bidding
