Vintage 1980 Japanese Strawberry Shortcake Doll MIB

This is a 5 1/2",vintage, 1980, Strawberry Shortcake Doll which was made
in Japan by Tsukuda. It was licensed by Kenner/CPG Products with a
copyright by American Greetings. Strawberry looks just like the
American version. She is mint and is still attached to the package
insert. This doll has flat hands (unlike the "curled" ones in the
later versions). She comes with a red comb with a strawberry design on
it (not shown), a Thank You Card (with Japanese writing on the
inside), a flyer describing other SS items (writing in Japanese), and
a Japanese "bookmark" which appears to show the place where this item
was either made or bought. The box is in good condition (see scans).
It shows some minor shelf-wear and has a few very minor wrinkles with
a small bend in the upper left corner on the front side. There is a
price tag on the top of the box. The box is interesting because of all
the Japanese writing on it. Somebody has written the date "1980" in
ink under the pic of Strawberry on the back side of the box. Supersize

This is a Japanese Strawberry Shortcake doll made long time ago, she
is 24 years old, retired and you cannot find her easily. Printed on
back of the head MADE IN JAPAN. Discover the beauty of this difference
of Japanese Strawberry Shortcake with flat hands and in great
condition. Selling as it is condition. Imprint on the back of head is
words Copyrighted by American Greetings, and Corp 1980 Made in Japan
on the back of the head. Comes with original Japanese Box and Greeting
Gift Card - Inside of the card is greetings in Japanese. Card is aged.
This is a Tsukuda Original with the Toys Safety Certification from
Japan Toys Association on box. Comes with Red Comb. Measures
approximately 6 inches ( 15 cm). Very beautiful vintage late 1970's
and early 1980's Strawberry Shortcake doll from Japan is an awesome
addition and a good investment to your collection. Don't miss this! A

This is "Noivinha" (Perfume Floral). She is a 5 1/2 inch, vintage, 1985,
Strawberry Shortcake (Colecao Moranguinho)Doll which was made in
Brazil by Estrela (under license from Kenner and American Greetings
Corp.). She is still attached to her box and is in very good
condition. The cellophane which originally covered the box is missing,
so she has a smudge on her nose, and the white bow on her dress and
the upper part of her dress have yellowed a bit with age. Her comb is
still attached to the box. She has gorgeous, curly hair and wears
striped, pastel-colored tights under her dress. She still has a
perfumy fragrance (kind of like baby powder?). The box is OK. It has
some light smudges and is indented on both sides (see scans). The
flaps at both ends are coming a little loose. Supersize for detail.
