You are bidding on a gorgeous old genuine jade brooch from an estate.
It is a burnished gold metal (brass?) with beautiful detailing. The
photo does not do it justice! The center has a large jade stone in a
deep green color, which is securely in place. The clasp is in good
working order. It is in very good condition. The original 'genuine
jade' box comes with it.
Measurements: Approx. 1 1/8" x 7/8"

This is a great vintage piece from the 1950's. I know it is vintage
because I am the one who bought it then (Boy, do I hate to admit
that). This is from the era when brooches and lapel pins were hot, and
according to People's Magazine they are the "thing" again. This is a
very unique piece that has watch parts and red stones inside an
enclosed frame. When I found this piece in a drawer, it was in a
Museum Of Fine Arts Boston box, I usually kept my things in the right
box, and even though I don't really remember if that was where I
bought it or not (a Senior Moment), I think it was. The piece is not
marked that I can see, and I think it is made of some sort of plastic.
Anyhow a really conversation piece and definately unique. Thanks for
looking.
