I have for Auction a very unusual Brooch made out of a shell. This is
from the 1940"s from what I was told. It has 3 layers of very fine
shells and then another layer of coral colored flowers. It came in a
very old Christmas Santa box that I am also including in this
offering.
This is a very unique item. I was told this was made during the war
when metal was in short supply so jewerly was made out of whatever was
available.

Here is a most unusual pin or brooch that I cannot find in my reference
books. It appears to be a stamped metal pin that is marked on the back
ANBM. You can see the general design of the pin from the back. On the
front, it looks quite different. This is an eight pointed star with
four points made from a square (makes green color points) and four
from another square with a circle inside of it (makes pink color
points). There is a bird, maybe a peacock, with flowers on grass. The
circle in the middle of the second square as well as the head of the
bird remain just metal. The other colors are made with strips of what
looks like tiny strips of colored foil or cellophane set in a kind of
mosaic with a clear material over it. The brooch is rather large -
about 2.25" across. The pin has a loop that acts as the clasp. There
is a very narrow hole for the pin to go through, but it does go
through. This pin almost has a foreign look to it - European?? I don't
know much about this type of pin, but I do know that it is unusual and
eye-catching!! Lovely to wear or to add to a collection!!

High bidder needs to reply to seller's initial email within 3 days as
per eBay's rules. Item will be shipped to return address on envelope
containing payment unless otherwise directed by a note inside. Items
from other auctions ending within one week of one another MAY BE
COMBINED to save on mailing costs. I will be listing more items, so

and ship within a day if a MONEY ORDER is received (unless something
unforeseen happens). I reserve the right to relist an item if eBay
goes down within 2 hours of end of auction.

Very nice dark butterscotch bakelite brooch. It is curved with 6 dots on
it. This is a chunky brooch, measuring just under 1/2 inch thick. It
is curved and measures 2 1/2 inches long and about 1 1/2 inches wide.
Each dot measures 1/2 inch in diameter. No scratches or cracks. The
clasp is in good condition also. VERY nice piece. Watch for more
bakelite, as I am downsizing my collection. Email for additional
