Up fpr bid is a vintage Zenith lift top wooden Radio-Phonograph. Model
6R683. AM 78 rpm. It measures 10 3/4" high by 16 1/2" long by 11
3/4" wide. The dial face reads Zenith Long Distance KC Meters Made In
United States Of America. The radio plays really good, tone button
and dial works. The phono to radio knob works. Turn table works fine
and has an on/off switch for the turn table. The audio is low when
record is played other than that it is in very good condition. The
top lid is in very good condition, no stains or chips. There is a
slight seperation of the leg in the front. Please see pictures for
better description. Buyer to pay actual shipping and insurance.

Here is an EXCELLENT Zenith tube radio.

Made in the USA, Chicago, Ill. Serial # Y-430146
In OUTSTANDING condition
Hard to find in this condition, very clean and sounds good, has all
the knobs and the back cover. On the back there's a switch for radio
or phono.
All the dials and covers are great, all knobs work as they are
supposed to, to play the radio. A nice collectible radio
I was told it is a 1952 model ??
No chips or cracks.

Early 50s Personal Portable
I’ve amassed a large collection of portable radios, and it’s time
for me to thin the collection. This one you don’t find very often, a
Zenith L401R personal radio from around 1953. It’s a four-tube
battery portable housed in a reverse-plastic cabinet. Uses three D
cells for the filament supply and a 477 67.5 volt B battery for the
high voltage.
This particular model has seen some battery damage, as you can see in
the photos. I haven’t tried the radio out, although I suspect it
won’t work—the output transformer has a lot of corrosion around
it. Most of these sets fail in that area, so if it were replaced, it
should play fine.
