Though it seems as if rumors are always swirling around about Effie
C's health and eyesight, her health and eyesight are excellent, and
she still continues to produce as prolifically as she always has. In
fact, I recently had a marvelous Mexican meal next to Effie and her
family in Gallup's most popular Mexican restaurant.
There are also rumors that Effie's actually retired and that her
children make the jewelry and use her hallmark. This is also not true.
Effie makes all her jewelry and her children make and sign their
jewelry.
The only thing Effie fans have to worry about is the forged hallmark
fakes coming from the Pacific Rim as well as from unethical sellers in
the southwest who should be horse whipped. These phony pieces are
copies not only of Effie's work but other prominent artists as well.
So if the price seems too good to be true on a name artist item, I'd
think twice, three, or even four times before buying it if care about
authenticity and preservation of an art form.
The pair of turquoise post back earrings for pierced ears --Effie's
most afforable double turquoise earrings -- features her cute
trademark turquoise-eyed snake coiled around two medium robin's egg
blue Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones. The earrings measure ¾" tall
and slightly more than ½" wide.
Effie Calavaza's hallmark and tribal affiliation (Zuni) are on the
back of the stone cluster.
Returns of perfectly good items for incredibly ridiculous reasons from
first time buyers and buyers with fewer than 20 feedbacks is
completely out of hand. If you don't intend to keep this item, please
don't buy or bid on it. I realize that occasionally buyers have
legitimate reasons for returning items so for my full return policy,
please email me if necessary. I endeavor to treat customers fairly,
and I expect the same in return.

payment before 3 pm Central Time except weekends, holidays, and buying
trips. For your convenience and savings, multiple jewelry purchases
purchased within a 10 day period can be shipped together and will be
*carefully* packed by people who care whether your jewelry arrives in
the same condition it was when shipped rather than minimum wage school
kids. I accept credit cards through PayPal only (Visa, Mastercard,
Discovercard, American Express) but also gratefully accept PayPal
e-checks, money orders, bank checks, Western Union Auction payments
(formerly BidPay), and Payingfast (.com) No rip-off high shipping and
'handling' costs to increase profit (like charging you $54 shipping
